DEADLOCK Unleash Extraordinary “Johannes Brahms” Experiment via Revolver

Johannes Brahms?
Yes, DEADLOCK have always been about extremes – and always will be! Fans love these Germans for every emotional force run through the raging depths of death metal, technical prowess, borderline pop-laden melodies,
Here comes a heavy nod to classic metal with a very extraordinary experiment: A symphonic Black Metal interpretation of Johannes Brahms’ “Ein Deutsches Requiem“, dedicated to their former drummer Tobias Graf.
Sebastian Reichel on the unusal DEADLOCK track and lyric-video:
“Ein Deutsches Requiem” by Johannes Brahms totally captured me a few years ago.
After the tragic dead of our drummer Tobi, I felt a strong connection to this musical piece as well as to the lyrics. I was into creating our own DEADLOCK version out of it. We hope that our fans can feel the pain, despair, as well as hope and salvation, the same way we do.”
