No Man’s Sky – Game Review
First let me start by saying I stayed away from all media and or social news regarding No Man’s Sky so this review will be very candid. I went into this game blind and I have to say I love this game. There are endless possibilities in No Man’s Sky for those that are explorers and hoarders like I happen to be. I understand that to most this game may have not met expectations however if you take into consideration that all games will have hiccups or misconceptions you will find that their is beauty in No Man’s Sky. The visual quality of everything is amazing and not to mention the flight simulation is very impressive. The space stations you find out in the galaxy is super impressive as well. I came across other ships that shot my memory straight into a scene like Starship troopers battle ships, Star wars and Star Trek ships in unison out in space. The nerd in me screams YES!! The game does cater to certain fans so naturally some will be disappointed which is expected. So having 12 hours so far under my belt I have to say I am having loads of fun finding new materials from different planets, exploring different outposts, learning new patterns, gathering the materials for said patterns, scanning new life forms from different planets and just flying around in my own ship is the most addicting and amazing experience. Aside from the game server bogging down at times a simple game restart fixes that and is the only issue I have come across. I recommend this game to all my gathering nerds that are hardcore sci-fi fans and exploring fanatics.
Rating (1-5 stars): 4
No Man’s Sky is a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated universe. Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man’s Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action. In No Man’s Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you’ll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before – and perhaps never will again.
